who
i go by milky online. i run this site as a personal space — a place to write, collect links, and think out loud without the performance that social media demands. the name "jae's sperging" is funny cause i sperge and stuff.
i'm interested in the overlapping territories of linguistics, eastern and western philosophy, and psychoanalysis — not as professional pursuits but as obsessions. i read a lot. i have strong opinions Keynesian Economics. i spend too much time on imageboards.
politically i'm a centrist, which in my experience means i'm too radical for liberals and too moderate for the terminally online left. this is fine.

FAQ
Are you a philosophy student?
yes and no i am a psychology student but i've never taken a philosophy course i have however read many philosophical novels and have immersed myself within that universe
What's with the 4chan stuff?
i grew up internet-adjacent to imageboard culture and it shaped how i communicate. i find the aesthetics interesting — the anonymity, the weird humor, the simultaneous nihilism and investment. ideologically i'm not aligned with most of it. culturally it's formative. this is a common situation and it's fine to acknowledge it.
Why make a personal site in [current year]?
cause it's free and i like doing it.
What does "centrism" mean to you specifically?
roughly: i believe capitalism produces structural harms that liberal reform cannot address, that the state can and should be used for collective ends, and that political change should happen through democratic means rather than vanguardism. i hold these positions moderately and am wiling to debate if it generates positives for the both of us.
